Sewing Ministry in Kenya

Our team Threads of Hope did sewing training with our dear friend Pastor Jotham Opicho at all Nations Church in Nakuru last summer. We have made three trips to Nakuru. The church now has fourteen sewing machines that Threads of Hope has provided for them. They sent one of the widows we sponsored to Kesreian five hours from Nakuru. This is where we established a sewing training center. The women will stay there for two months to learn. They will have a place to sleep and be fed as well. We also recently sponsored and sent four Maasai widows to the center. This center was built and is under the jurisdiction of the Nairobi Pentecostal Church. They now have twenty-five sewing machines provided by Threads of Hope. They also now provide a sewing machine to each student that graduates from the home that has learned to sew and received a certificate of achievement. We are very excited and privileged to be a part of what God is doing in Kenya.
